I double checked the time on my Handphone making sure that I was not late on my first day. Clad in their white and blue uniform, the students promptly line themself at the concourse awaiting for the principal to make the annoucement, As the principal gives the go ahead nod for the national anthem, the prefect in charge says the commands in a coarse but full of confident voice and due to the fact of hearing the national anthem after a long time,I sang…yes with full voice projection, I sang out aloud togther with the rest of them, probably being enticed by the enthusiasm that the little ones had, I too wanted to try it out..First time, not for the sake of
singing, but singing it with quite an interest.Right after fufilling the national anthem and pledge. The Lord prayers was being read out..I had this sudden wonder in my mind if they had any religious setbacks because they had muslim, buddist and hindu students as well!!Their very next action answered my queries as the children were oblivious of all religion notion as they held their prayers togther in whatever form they knew of
:but hearts as one:the message of being good:innocent at its best depicted at their face. Even the preaching from a religious leader can never be compared with the piety that reflects upon this very same little faces which reveals that all religion preaches one, being good…and most importantly being a human with a mindset to help others and what better way to rejoice in these pieties but a smile right after the prayers are done.I am currently having a blast of a time at my 2weeks attachment at cannosa convent, would be back to update this blog about the wonderful experiences I had with the kids by the end of this week.Till then try noticing a child in prayers and then you would see what Real Religion means:)
